The Town Clerk is the official record keeper of the town. This department
records all documents pertaining to real estate, processes vital statistics
records, issues various licenses, manages elections in conjunction with
the Registrar of Voters, and serves as the main information center for
the public.

Marriage licenses
Fee: $30.00
License is obtained from the town in which the ceremony will take place.
Bride/Groom/Spouse must
appear to sign license with photo I.D. License is valid for 65 days
from date of application. Marriage licenses are processed until 3:00
p.m.

Sport Licenses
The State of Connecticut has implemented a paperless sport licensing
system. You can now obtain sport licenses online at the DEP website.
This includes all licenses, permits and guides.

Dog licenses
Owners must present rabies certificate with the expiration date of
the rabies vaccine. If the dog is neutered or spayed, a certificate
from the veterinarian with the date of the procedure must be presented.
Dog licenses are issued in June. A late fee of $1.00 per month is charged
in addition to the fees below.
Neutered/Spayed dog: $8.00
Dog not neutered/spayed: $19.00
Kennel license: $51.00 (late fees are charged per dog)
