COVID-19 Procedures

Town Hall is currently closed to the public in an effort to keep residents and staff safe.  The Town Clerk’s Office remains staffed to assist you by providing modified services as outlined below.

August 11, 2020 Presidential Preference Primaries 

The Presidential Preference Primaries will be held on August 11, 2020.  Polling places will be open.  Absentee ballots can be returned to the Town Clerk’s Office via mail, in person by appointment, or using the Official Ballot Drop Box located in front of Town Hall – you are able to drive up to the drop box in the front circle.  Please note absentee ballots were mailed out July 27, 2020 – Town Clerks were not given a reason for the delay.



Land Records

Recordings must be mailed, filed electronically, or put in Drop Box located up front steps of Town Hall to your left.  The online database contains images from August 1, 1981 to present.  For copies of land records or maps not online, please contact the office with volume & page numbers or map information.  We are happy to mail or email copies to you and you can mail a check to the office.  To search records not online, please call the office for an appointment.  To access online land records, click link: Land Records


Funeral Directors

Assisting funeral directors by appointment only, please call the office. Subregistrars 


Marriage Licenses

Marriage licenses are processed by appointment only.  Bridal couples are asked to email the office with wedding date and officiator information after completing the online marriage license application to make an appointment.  We accept cash or check only. Click link: Marriage License Application


Certified Copies of Vital Records

We are processing all requests for certified copies of vital records by mail at this time.  Please complete the Vital Request form, mail form with check and self-addressed stamped envelope to the office.  Please call the office for curbside service in the case of an emergency. Click Link


Dog Licenses

Reminder to license your dogs by July 31, 2020.   Per the Governor’s Executive Order 7II, late fees of $1.00 per month per dog will be assessed beginning August 1, 2020.  Rabies certificate with current expiration date is still required if not on file.  Dog licenses can be returned to the Town Clerk’s Office via mail or by using the Drop Box located up the front steps of Town Hall to your left.  Be sure to include a stamped, self-addressed envelope for return of license and tag.  Any questions, please call the office.
