Notice is hereby given of the enactment Ordinance #246 (Council #2014-1), entitled "Taxation", which amends Chapter 213 of the Code of the Town of North Branford.
The following is a summary of Chapter 213 containing all amendments to the chapter. A copy of the entire ordinance, Chapter 213, is available in the Town Clerk's Office or on the town website.

Sewer Blockages and Backups- Please Read if You Are Connected to Municipal Sanitary Sewers
The Town is requesting your help to keep the Town sanitary sewer system functioning properly and to help avoid blockages in the sanitary sewer system that could back up into houses or overflow into streets or watercourses. Please review the attached documents that provide guidance regarding what should not be disposed of into sanitary sewers, precautions that homeowners can take to protect their property from potential backups of the sewer system, and contact information and advice if a backup occurs.

South Central Region Multi-Jurisdiction Hazard Mitigation Plan The South Central Regional Council of Governments (SCRCOG) has been awarded a grant from the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to develop a Multi-Jurisdiction Hazard Mitigation Plan for 10 area towns, including North Branford. The Plan prepared through this project will identify and communicate hazard risks, develop actions to reduce or eliminate those risks, and make each municipality eligible for FEMA mitigation program funding before and after the next disaster strikes..
