Do you want to participate in the Memorial Day Parade? It will be held on Monday, May 27, starting at 10:00 a.m. in the Northford end of town this year. The line-up begins at 9:00 a.m.. After the parade VFW Post #8294 will conduct a service on the green across from the Northford Store to commemorate the true meaning of Memorial Day. The day will conclude with refreshments at Company #2 firehouse. The Town is in the process of renewing its "HeartSafe" designation and this information is important for the application. Please respond to Anthony Esposito with this information at 203-484-6002 or financedirector@townofnorthbranfordct.com Sewer Blockages and Backups- Please Read if You Are Connected to Municipal Sanitary Sewers The Town is requesting your help to keep the Town sanitary sewer system functioning properly and to help avoid blockages in the sanitary sewer system that could back up into houses or overflow into streets or watercourses. Please review the attached documents that provide guidance regarding what should not be disposed of into sanitary sewers, precautions that homeowners can take to protect their property from potential backups of the sewer system, and contact information and advice if a backup occurs.

The Plan prepared through this project will identify and communicate hazard risks, develop actions to reduce or eliminate those risks, and make each municipality eligible for FEMA mitigation program funding before and after the next disaster strikes.
